Welcome to the PokéMap Project!

Mapping Pokémon habitats based on real-world climate and biomes


Introduction

This project combines Pokémon lore with real-world climatological and ecological data to create a scientifically plausible mapping of Pokémon habitats.

Goal: To integrate Pokémon attributes, climate data, and biomes into a single cohesive map.


User Guide

This map allows users to explore Pokémon habitats interactively. Click on each feature below to learn more:

▶ Filter Pokémon by Type
You can filter Pokémon habitats by Fire, Water, or Ice types using the toggle button in the top-right corner.
▶ Toggle Heatmap Layer
The heatmap layer can be toggled on/off for better clarity.
▶ Click on Pokémon Icons
Click on Pokémon icons to view their stats, ranking and details.
▶ Use Zoom Controls
Use the zoom controls at the top left to explore specific areas in greater detail.
▶ Toggle Markers
When the map first loads, there are blue markers. You can toggle them to make them disappear from the map for better view.
▶ Search Pokémon
▶ View Pokémon and Weather Info
To see both the weather and Pokémon information, first click on the Pokémon icon, then hover over the weather marker. Note: You might need to move the mouse over the circular marker a bit to trigger the weather pop up.
